Except for document No. 000 007-9 [Security Council Resolution 746 (1992)], the file contains miscellaneous UN documents related to the violations of international humanitarian law that took place in the former Yugoslavia – especially, in Bosnia and Herzegovina – prior October 1992. The documents include: - Security Council Resolution 771 (1992) requesting the Secretary-General to submit a report on the violations of humanitarian law in the former Yugoslavia and calling upon States to collate relevant information; - Security Council Resolution 780 (1992) requesting the Secretary-General to establish a Commission of Experts to collect and examine the evidence of grave violations of international humanitarian law in the former Yugoslavia; - Report of the Secretary-General on the Establishment of the Commission of Experts; - Letters from some Permanent Representatives to the UN which contain submission of information to the UN Security Council pursuant to Security Council Resolution 771 (1992).
